This is my entry for the Urban Beautiful Competition, associated with Swarovski. Not my usual type of design but since I finished uni I wanted to design and make something a bit different and this competition was the perfect excuse. The competition deadline is on the 10th May and is voted by the public which ends on the 17th May so if you like my design please vote for my necpiece at: www.urbanbeautiful.com/en/design-entries/79/?sms_ss=facebook&at_xt=4d926000f25134ae%2C0
'This neckpiece was made using a variety of materials and techniques reflecting the life of a busy city at night. The rows of beads represent traffic and the geometric shapes and city scape mimic buildings. Like the weathering of buildings the silver silhouette will oxidise naturally in time.
Materials - Swarovski crystal bicone beads in dark indigo, amethyst, purple velvet, crystal clear and citrine, swarovski pearls in night blue, swarovski crystal buttons in montana, purple double velvet fabric, yellow cotton fabric, sterling silver, polypropylene, thread, hematite beads, plastic beads'.
